Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to have my own part drawings or models?
It is not required to have your own designs, but it greatly reduces the lead time of your project if you do. Most of our customers come to us with fully dimensioned technical drawings and/or finished part models designed for manufacturing.
  • Does my part need to be designed for injection molding?
It is not required for your parts to be designed for injection molding, but it is preferred. Either way, we often request part changes that aim to improve the manufacturability or reduce the cost of the tool.
  • How much does it cost to manufacture an injection mold?
The cost of manufacturing an injection mold varies drastically based on the complexity of the mold's design, cavitation, and estimated production volumes.
  • Should I prioritize affordability or quality for injection molds?
Production tools are designed and built to have a long life, so the quality of the mold is much more important. We typically build molds that are expected to run a million or more cycles with routine maintenance. If you are interested in a prototype tool or lower-cost alternative, please specify in your request for quotation.
  • How quickly can I get a quote for my injection mold?
We can usually provide a quote for your project in 24-48 hours. Quote time may vary based on the complexity of the mold and approval process. The more information you can give us about your project, the faster we can quote it.
  • How long is the production of an injection mold?
Production time varies on the complexity of the injection mold. All of our molds are designed to specification and production time will vary drastically.
  • How do I apply for employment?
Please send your resume and any questions to to inquire about employment or the apprenticeship program. We will contact you about scheduling an interview.
